Natural Sun Drying

After harvesting, the raw Makhana seeds are spread out under the warm sun for natural drying. This traditional process typically takes 2–3 days and helps reduce the moisture content, preparing the seeds for further processing. Careful sun-drying plays an important role in preserving the makhana’s natural quality, texture, and nutritional value before it moves to the next stage of preparation.

Handpicking is carried out based on specific customer requirements, where skilled workers manually inspect batches to remove damaged, discoloured, or uneven pieces. This meticulous process ensures enhanced consistency and reflects the craftsmanship and care involved at every stage.
